I’ve been designing physical products for over 10 years and now run a product development company, TheDesignLab, where we focus on wearable tech, consumer electronics, and various other hardware projects.<br /> <br /> I originally looked into joining Build Brighton to access equipment I occasionally need (like the laser cutter), but the community really drew me in — I’m hoping to meet like-minded people, learn from others, and contribute where I can.<br /> <br /> My background is in CAD (Solidworks, Creo, Fusion, Onshape), mesh modelling (Blender), digital design (Adobe), 3D scanning, rendering (Keyshot), and prototyping.<br /> <br /> I’ve built up a small prototyping workshop over the years, with 9x FDM and SLA 3D printers, a paint booth, and tools for processes like vacuum casting, injection moulding with silicone, welding, and more.<br /> <br /> I’ve also had a lot of experience with manufacturing methods like CNC machining, laser cutting, sheet metal work, compression moulding, vacuum forming, ultrasonic welding, and assembly.<br /> <br /> Outside of work, I restore classic cars in my spare time — currently working on three Mercedes; an '84 500SEC, an '87 420SEC, and a '93 190E.<br /> <br /> Always happy to share what I know, or lend a hand — if anything I’ve mentioned is of use, feel free to say hi.
